ROHTANG PASS

Overview

Rohtang Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass located in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas, approximately 51 km from Manali in Himachal Pradesh, India. It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti valleys, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and pristine landscapes. The name "Rohtang" translates to "pile of dead bodies" in Persian, reflecting its historical reputation as a treacherous pass.

Itinerary

Manali to Kothi

Tour starts at 9:30 AM from Swagtam Tour Office - Mall Road Manali to Kothi in Tampo Travellers.

Kothi to Rahla Waterfall

Tour will head towards Rahla waterfall on the way to Rohtang Pass. It is picturesque cascade located approximately 16 km from Manali.

Rahla Waterfall to Marhi

Tour will head towards Marhi located at an altitude of above 10500 ft. above sea level. Marhi offer panoramic view of snow-capped mountains and lush green medows.

Marhi to Rohtang Pass

Tour will head towards Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass on the eastern end of the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas.

Rohtang Pass to Kokksar

Tour will head towards Kokksar, the first village of Lahaul district, located on the bank of Chandra river.

Kokksar to Atal Tunnel

Tour will travel through 9.02 km long tunnel, to get the glimpse of Dhauladhar & Pir Panjal Ranges from the south portal of Atal Tunnel.

Atal Tunnel to Solang Valley

Tour will head towards Solang Valley, the venue for Adventure Activities such as Ropeway Joyride, Paragliding & other adventure games.

Solang Valley to Manali

Tour will head back to Bus Stand, Manali for its end.
